The Street Kids/Suburban South softball team added what they
hope to be their final piece of the 2009 roster on Thursday with
the addition of outfielder Scott Martin.

"I am excited as can be to be a part of this organization," said the
21-year-old former high school baseball star. "When I went to
the Memorial Bowl last week and got to see first hand what its
like to be involved with the work this team does off the field, and
combine that with what they are capable of on the field; I just knew
that this is where I want to be as I grow in the sport of softball."

"Scott is a tremendous athlete and an outstanding hitter," said
manager TJ Jorgensen. "When he approached me a couple of
weeks ago and told me how he wants to be a part of what we do
with Street Kids Care, I thought that was pretty cool. His ability
in the outfield along with his strong arm and amazing offensive skill will be an asset to our team."

Martin joins a powerful outfield that consists of Joe Horvath and MVP Jake Underwood, who agreed to
return to the SKS team on Sunday. With the addition of Martin, the Street Kids/Suburban South team will
now look forward to their 2009 campaign, which includes starting in Jackson, Michigan on January 31st.
