The Street Kids Softball organization has reached an agreement with Rover Plus Nine from Fort Worth, Texas to wear their
uniforms exclusively in 2011. The deal was first introduced during a conversation that Robert James of the new
Hybrids/RPN/Street Kids team had while talking with Brian Campbell of Rover Plus Nine.
"We had a minor sponsorship deal with them in 2010 and when I told Brian at Rover about Street Kids, he was very interested
to talk," James said. "After what he read about SKS and conversations that we had, it was just a matter of working out the
details."
The deal includes all SKS tournament teams. Rover will be the exclusive uniform sponsor to the South Bend SKS team, in both
league and tournaments. Rover will also participate with Street Kids Care on future events also.
"We're pleased to be sponsoring SKS out of Indiana in a partnership for 2011," said Brian Campbell of Rover Plus Nine. "Not
only are we excited to provide the SKS teams with our Professional-Grade Softball Pants and Custom Team Jerseys, made right
here in the USA, but we are looking forward to working with the Street Kids Care charity to support the softball community."
TJ Jorgensen of SKS admitted it was hard to leave Pennsylvania Avenue Sports, who had been their sponsor for the last three
years.
"Phil (at PAS) has been very good to us since early in 2008," Jorgensen said. "We have nothing but great things to say about
PAS' pants and the company itself. But as times are changing, both on the field and off, we felt that this is the best direction for
our organization. Rover Plus Nine is one of the most popular uniform companies in the country, and I have never met anyone that
doesnt like their pants. The opportunity to partner with Jim and Brian at Rover was a no brainer. We are very excited to move
