Joe Richard, above, was perfect on Thursday night.
The Street Kids/Easton/PAS softball team won two more
games on Thursday night at Rose Park, improving to 25-1
in league action, with a convincing sweep of Donat's
Construction, 20-0 and 15-5, respectively.

Chris Firebaugh and Joe Richard went a combined 12-for
-12 at the plate and Lanny Fisher added a home run and
six hits in the sweep. With the wins in Mishawaka, SKS
improves to 14-0 on Thursday nights and 25-1 combined
in both leagues. They improved to 76-14 overall this
season. At this exact time last season, the Kids were
88-25.

Another story developing as of late is an exciting home run race between single season home run champ Joe
Horvath (51 HR's this year), Jake Underwood (team high 53 HR's this season) and legendary home run hitter
Carl Underwood (50 HR's in 2008). Never before has the team featured three players with at least 50 home
runs this early in the year. Last season, the team barely finished with three home run hitters (Horvath, 85;
Hank Minix, 59 and TJ Jorgensen, 50).

"Many people think Jake will easily break Joe's HR record," said Jorgensen. "But with Joe and Carl getting
hot, all three could make a run. The only thing about Joe is he doesn't play NSA (tournaments) with us, so he
will lose a big handful of at bats."

Up next for the team is the NSA Super NIT in Warsaw, Indiana on Saturday. First game is scheduled for
8am.
