SKS Tune Up for Kiracofe With Sweep Over
Brennan at Belleville
South Bend, IN  7/8/10

Joe Horvath had seven singles and drove in seven
runs to help lead the Street Kids/Easton/PAS softball
team to a sweep of Brennan Dental on Thursday night
at the Belleville Complex.

The Kids won the first game 11-8 and upended
Brennan in the nightcap, 24-4, increasing their league
record in 2010 to 36-1, and extended their league
winning streak to 29 in a row.

Scott Martin and TJ Jorgensen had six hits each in the
sweep, with Martin homering twice and Jorgensen
connecting for a three run homer in the 14-run first
inning of game two. Joe Richard and Brendan Baird
also went deep for the victorious SKS team, who
now stand at 72-14 overall.
Street Kids will travel to Kalamazoo this weekend for the annual Kiracofe Memorial tournament. Despite missing several
players for several reasons, the Kids will head up with a strong team and hope to win the event for the first time.

Note: South Bend Parks removed one of the SKS wins from their record, the 7-0 forfeit win from two weeks ago, and
gave the team - WACS - a chance to play SKS in the summer league finale next Thursday at Potowatomi Park. Their
record was 18-0 coming into Thursday night, but it was changed to 17-0. The adjustment has been made on the SKS
website as well.
