SKS Win Big at Belleville
South Bend, IN-  09-09-09

The Street Kids/Suburban South/PAS softball team played
an undermatched "Unknown" team on Wednesday night at
the Belleville Complex and the final scores showed how over
matched the game was. SKS wins the first game 43-0 in four
innings and the second game, 23-6.

Although the Kids did take it easy, this obviously was not a
game that the Unknowns (thats their team name) would have
chosen to play, but give them credit for staying out there and
giving it their best - diving for balls and hustling out every play.

The 24 runs SKS put up in the second inning of the first game
was impressive, but fell short of the team record of 27 set in
2007, the same night the team set the record for runs in a game (46) as well as runs in a double header (77).

The Kids (91-34 overall) return to the diamond on Thursday at Boland Park in South Bend for a twin bill
beginning at 7pm.
Outfielder Joe Horvath, still nursing a sore leg, pitched
the final inning of the double header on Wednesday night
in South Bend.
