Several Players from the SKS Organization
Play in the 2009 All Star Game
Muncie, IN 10/24/09
Four players from Street Kids/Suburban South/PAS softball
played in the 2009 Upper Regional All Star tournament this
past weekend in Muncie, Indiana. The event featured five
teams from the following states: Indiana, Michigan, Ohio,
Kentucky and Illinois.
Kyle Yerkes was named to the Michigan All Star team, who
went 0-2, and the Indiana All Star team featured Joe Horvath,
Scott Martin and Mark Hershberger. Indiana went on to win
the event, and Steve Schroeder of AMD/Worth/Forest River
was named MVP. All four SKS players enjoyed a great
weekend.
The Michigan team was coached by Terry Patesel, a long time SKS player. Also making the
Michigan team from the Suburban/SKS squad were Matt Lavender, Guy Morton, and Chris
Douglass.
Managers TJ Jorgensen (Street Kids) and BJ Roberts (Suburban/SKS) were both named to
the All Star teams as managers but were unable to attend.
Steve Schroeder of AMD/Worth/Forest River was named MVP of the 2009 All Star tournament.
