After Collision in Grand Rapids, B3/Street Kids Fear Glass
and Taylor Lost for the Season
Grand Rapids, MI  5/8/10

Reports are in that Mike Glass and Nate Taylor of B3/Street Kids have sustained injuries during a tournament game
in Grand Rapids on Saturday and are both feared lost for the season.

It happened on a play in which both players were going for a ball, when they collided and had to leave the game.
Taylor suffered a broken hand while reports are still waiting on Glass, it is feared it could be his ACL. Glass posted
a comment on his Facebook page this morning on what happened:

"Nate was going for a fly ball and we both got to it at the same time," the infielder said. "He dove for it, but ended
up diving into my leg pushing my knee from the outside to the inside making all kinds of gross pops and crunch
sounds. "I went to the emergency room and they said its not broken, but have to go to family doctor to see if it is a
torn ACL or MCL."

Taylor went to the emergency room on Saturday night,
where he learned his hand was broken.

"The doctor said it looked like a boxer break, resembling
an injury in boxing," said the outfielder. "The pinky bone at the hand broke in
half, not in the finger, but in the hand. I have to go see an orthopedist on
Monday. The funny thing was, I am not sure how it happened. I was going for
the ball and heard Glass call me off while I was diving and I hit my face right into
his knee. I must have fell hard on my hand or something. I went to put my glove
back on and my hand immediately started to swell."

Taylor could be back in six to eight weeks, but with he and his girlfriend
expecting twins this summer, he may just limit his comeback to local play.

To make things worse, outfielder Mike Bailey pulled his hamstring during the
tournament, so with three players out with injuries, B3/Street Kids were forced
to forfeit the rest of the games, despite being undefeated and in the winners
bracket finals.
