B3 Runs Out of Gas, Finishes
Second in NSA "D" in
Kokomo
Kokomo, IN  6-5-10

B3/SKS runs out of gas in the Tom thumb Kokomo NSA
World Qualifier to finish second. After a disappointing finish
the last time out in warsaw B3/SKS was looking to bounce
back. First up for B3 was Advanced Cable where our
troubles continued loosing 11-5 Advanced scored 5 runs in
the first inning and then our defense shut them down the rest
of the game but home runs doomed B3 as we hit 5 giving
them 6 runs. Next up for us was team Stallions. Down 6 runs
with only 5 outs left B3 seemed to be headed to another
disappointing tourny, but our bats finally woke up. We were
able to come out on top 13-11. After a long wait due to the
rain delay our 6 o'clock game finally got started at 10. Here
we faced team rage. B3 finally brought defense and offense
together to win 20-3. Sunday morning we got a rematch with
advanced cable. Much different outcome this time had B3
winning 21-6. Next up was a very good chumleys team that
beat us in indy. So this would be a chance to revenge another
previous loss. B3 battled back and forth finally coming out on
top 14-8. Now B3 would make it to the championship game
against Javets. The defense and offense just seemed to leave
at the wrong time and B3 ended up taking the loss 18-8.
Veteran David schoen led B3 batting .695. followed by Dan
Mathews at .685. New outfielder Tony Wamser also
impressed in his B3 debut batting .615. B3 will take this
weekend off and get ready to play in Warsaw in 2 weeks.
