Monon, IN-

In the final weekend of the 2007 season, the Street Kids/Tanel/TPS softball team made it worth the long trip to Monon, Indiana.

The SKS team went 6-1 and defeated a very good Chumley's team twice in the championship game to win the 2nd annual Wagner
Memorial event. It was the 7th tournament win of the season for the Kids, who finish the tournament season with a 66-21 record in tourney
games, and it was their second straight win following a victory at the 2007 Mishawaka Fall City Tourney.

Joe Horvath was once again outstanding as he connected for 11 home runs in the seven games and drove in 30 runs, easily taking the lead
in the record setting "rbi" race. He passed Lanny Fisher, who broke Hank Minix' record for rbi's in a season last week. Horvath broke the
single season home run mark - set by Minix last season - when he hit his 69th home run on Thursday night. He would hit his 70th and 71st
that night also before coming to Monon this weekend and finishing at 82. Minix didn't seem to bothered, however, as he was having a
career day himself.

Minix made one out in all seven games, and hit a tournament high 12 home runs, giving him 58 for the season. He went 20-for-21, including
six walks and drove in 24 runs. His on base percentage for the weekend was an amazing .963.

Several people hit the ball well and carried the team after the second round loss to Chumleys, a team who really ripped the SKS team this
summer after the Kids did not go to a tourney in Rochester, where Chumleys was looking to play against them. Jamie Everett went
17-for-21 and Marty Hernandez - playing in his first SKS game ever - hit nine home runs and drove in a team high 31 runs. Jake
Underwood had a great weekend and another player making his debut with the Kids, Andy Simpson, hit eight home runs and pitched great
in the absence of Lanny Fisher.

The Kids scored plenty of runs over the weekend, including 38 against Chumleys.

Up next for the Kids is the final two games of the 2007 season at Rose Park. Those two games should be exciting as the batting race
between Fisher and Shane Varga is as close as can be. If the Kids win both of the games, they will have finished the season winning 81 out
of 90 league games this year.
