SKS Partner With
Basney BMW
Team to help bring awareness to breast
cancer with Ultimate Drive
South Bend, IN-
The Street Kids/Suburban softball team and
their charitable division of the team, Street Kids
Care, announced today they will partner with
Basney BMW in an effort to help raise money
for the Susan G. Komen fight against breast
cancer.
Street Kids Care, proudly sponsored by Home
Comfort Experts, has made strong efforts over
the past three years to help bring awareness to
breast cancer by taking part in several events
including the American Cancer Society's annual Breast Cancer Walk as well as the Relay For Life. The BMW Ultimate
Drive has raised over $11 million for the Susan G. Komen Cure, and their goal is to get to $12 million.
"We are proud to have Street Kids Softball take part in this event," said Donna Nichols of Basney BMW. "I am very proud
of TJ and the team to step and help us with the fight against breast cancer and thank them for helping us. I've worked with TJ
for a few years on projects at Smith Graphics and never thought someone would come to us and want to help. I couldn't
have asked for anything better!"
The event is simple: just get behind the wheel
of a new vehicle of your choice in the BMW
Ultimate Drive® supporting Susan G. Komen
for the Cure. As a participant, you'll find plenty
of BMW models to test drive, such as the
thrilling 3 Series Coupe, the sporty X3 SAV®
and this year's Signature Vehicle, the new and
dynamic X6. For every mile you drive BMW
will donate $1 on your behalf to Komen. Since the program's inception in 1997, the event has raised over $11 million dollars
for breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs. In 2008 you can continue to make a difference by
taking a test drive to help us reach our goal: donating a grand total of $12 million.
"This is exciting because you can help make a difference and not even realize it," said SKS director TJ Jorgensen. "Not too
many of us get the chance to drive a BMW and by just simply taking a test drive, you could potentially be saving someone's
life. I'm proud of our guys for taking part in this event and I hope that we can spread the word for others to come out and
take part."
The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd and takes place at Basney BMW
located at 52203 Indiana State Route 933, across from Dairy Queen in the Roseland
area. Taking part in the event is simple! Just click on the "Register Here" link and
