Players to bowl with kids from Memorial Hospital

The Street Kids/Suburban softball organization, along with Hacienda
Mexican Restaurants, announced today plans for their first ever
bowling event, to be held at Strikes and Spares in Mishawaka.
The event will take place on Saturday, January 10th, 2009.
"This will be the first of what we hope will be many annual bowling
events, with a chance for our players to spend time with kids from
Memorial Hospital," said SKS director TJ Jorgensen. "We spent
some time with children from Memorial Hospital back in the spring
and that event touched so many of our players that we wanted to
do something like that for them again."
The event will be open to the public, but will feature players from the Street Kids/Suburban softball organization bowling with the
kids from Memorial, along with their families. Jorgensen hopes this will not only bring smiles and excitement to some of these
children in bleak times, but also offer signs of hope for others.
"People ask me why we do these things and there are so many reasons, but one is that hopefully others will hear of the
compassion that these guys on our team have and hopefully others will want to do the same," he said. "Its not just about Street
Kids, but about everyone. We are just normal people, with normal everyday issues and problems. But even with our own hectic
schedules, we still find time to help others around us. Kindness is contagious and if we can use our ability to help others as a way
to spread it, then thats what we will do."
The Street Kids Memorial Bowl begins at 11am on Saturday, January 10th.
After the event, everyone involved is invited to Hacienda Mexican Restaurant
located at the 100 Center in Mishawaka for lunch. For more information, or
