With only a week left in their annual community campaign called "Coats for Kids",
Ziker Cleaners is appealing for additional donations before the December 5th deadline.
Street Kids Care has been contacted to help spread the word and help raise more
coats for children in Michiana!
"We are about 2,000 coats shy of our goal," said Esmeralda Carrico of Ziker Cleaners.
"We are asking anyone in the Michiana area to step up and donate any gently used
childrens coats for the holiday season. I am so glad that we can count on Street Kids
Care to help promote this great cause!"
Winter coats of any type and size are welcome, but the greatest need is for child size
machine washable coats that can be easily maintained after they are distributed. Coats
can be dropped off at any Ziker Cleaners location in South Bend, Mishawaka, Granger
and Elkhart.
After the coats are sorted and cleaned they will be directly distributed to South Bend,
Mishawaka, Elkhart and Goshen school districts mid December.
