You are invited to take out all your frustrations from work or home by hurling a 6 inch rubber
ball at like minded competitors while putting those demons to rest from those years past when
you didn't get picked for a team, or got drilled in the head one to many times….
Chances are you have dodged a lot of things
this past year – meetings, your boss, stacks
of bills, dentist appointments, your in-laws,
ex-boyfriends and girlfriends. Now you and
a team of friends, co-workers, neighbors and
dodgeball enthusiasts can have fun and “dodge”
for Corvilla!
The Street Kids Softball organization has
teamed up with Corvilla for Corvilla’s 1st annual
PEGGED 2008 DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT will take place at Soccer Zone in
Mishawaka on Saturday, May 10th. Thirty or more teams will have the opportunity
for their shot at glory with the winners competing in the NADA (National Amateur
Dodgball Association) Outdoor National Tournament this summer in suburban
Chicago. This event is also sponsored by WRBR Radio, Soccer Zone, Corporate
Graphic Solutions, Chase Bank and Chick-fil-A.
Dodgeball is a fast-paced alternative action sport that requires teamwork and strategy. Using safe foam-
rubber balls with a rubber coating and rules to keep everyone safe, this is a fun game for everyone. Get
some friends together, come out and have fun playing or watching (remember the next best thing to hitting
someone in dodgeball is watching someone else get hit).
Registration fee is $25 per person. A team has 6 players plus 2 alternates. If you are playing in the co-ed
division you must have 2 females on the court. Each player receives a Tournament T-shirt, door prize
tickets and plenty of guaranteed playing time. So pick a division, either men’s or co-ed and join the fun.
Registration begins at Noon and play starts at 1PM and will continue until we have the winners.
The “Dodgettes” will be on hand to cheer, jump and jiggle the teams on to victory or for a small donation
they will distract your competition and increase your chances of winning.
Trophies will be awarded to the top three PEGGED 2008 Tournament champs in each division with cash
prizes to the top team in each division.
All tournament proceeds will benefit Corvilla, a local non-profit organization that provides homes and
services for people with developmental disabilities.
