The Street Kids youth flag football team lost
another tough game on Saturday, despite being
within range to win the game in the second half.
The Saints defeated the Kids (1-3) 49-14 at
SoccerZone and have now lost three out of the
four games they have played to start the
2008-09 season.
"They are trying their best and thats all you can
ask for," said head coach Joe Richard. "The
most important thing is that they are having fun."
Despite six interceptions and several missed
opportunities on both sides of the ball, SKF was
only down by two scores with just eight minutes
to play. But then the defense got lazy and the
Saints took advantage.
"It looked to me like they just weren't making a
strong effort to grab the flags on defense, where
the Saints were going after our flags pretty hard,"
said assistant coach Chris Milewski.
The Kids will return to the field next Saturday at
12:30pm at SoccerZone.
