The Street Kids youth flag football team
returned to SoccerZone in Mishawaka on
Saturday for their first official game of the
2008-09 season and it might be one they
want to forget.

Grey Suns picked off the Street Kids
combination of quarterbacks 10 times
which led to seven scores as they defeated
the Kids, 70-16. The Kids dropped to 0-1, if they make up their first game that had to be canceled.

"It was an ugly game," said head coach Joe Richard. "Grey Suns is a great team, coached well and you can
see they play together a lot. But we gave them plenty of chances to score. If we took better care of the ball
on offense, the game might have been a little different."

Street Kids jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead, but Grey Suns put up several consecutive scores before
SKF was able to at least muster a safety in the end zone. But at that point the game hardly mattered.

"It was our first game and we need to learn from it," said assistant coach Chris Milewski. "Today, Grey
Suns was the better team. Hopefully at our next meeting, we can be the better team."

The Kids will return to the field this coming Wednesday at 5:50pm.
