The Street Kids youth flag football team was dealt a blow last week
as center Carsten Stolz was lost for the season with a broken right arm.

Carsten, the main true center on the offensive line, actually broke the
arm while off the football field! Below is the story straight from the
family...

On Saturday, January 25th, Carsten was at Swiss Valley Ski Lodge
in Michigan and had just had his first ever snowboarding lesson. After
the lesson, he was going down the hill for the second time and swerved to miss someone who had fallen. He
then fell himself and caught himself with his right arm. It hurt immediately but we didn't think it was broken.
The next day when it still hurt, we took him to a med-point and they x-rayed it and said that it was not
broken and that we should just keep it wrapped for a few days. Carsten was quite relieved as he lives to play
flag football.

On the following Tuesday we received a call that they had sent the x-ray on to a radiologist and that it was
actually broken! They made an appointment for him with an orthopedic doctor and sure enough he got a cast
that same day and has to wear it for four weeks with no sports allowed!

He plans to come to a future flag football game to cheer the Street Kids team on and hopes to be playing
again as soon as the cast comes off.

Well, from all of us here at Street Kids, we wish Carsten a speedy recovery! See you on the field real soon,
pal!
