Street Kids South Looking for Second State
Title of the Season
Lafayette, IN - 8/19/09

The Street Kids South softball team will make
another run at a state title this weekend, at the
NSA south state tournament held at Indy
Sports Park.

The south team, fresh off their undefeated title
run in the ASA State Championship, is geared
up and ready to go as they will have a full
squad this weekend and look to come out
strong.  Their first game is against Kokomo
Sports Center at 8:00 a.m. est.

“I think we have a real good shot at winning
this thing, we have some good young players playing with us now and our team chemistry is great," said
South manager Brady Crisp. "We are playing like a team and that is what you have to do to win the big
ones.”

The pick-up of brothers Eric and Matt Winkler, and Trent Phegley proved to be big two weeks ago at asa
state, and the team hopes that everyone keeps rolling and continue to hit the ball well.

"I think our defense is one of the best out there,” Crisp added.

The message board will be updated Saturday as the South team plays.  Hopefully there will be another big
write up come Saturday night.
